Rev Moon: Most Successful Religious Leader

Founded the only religion to spread to all the countries of the world in the lifetime of its founder. Established about nine world records, discover how this king of peace who helped ended communism did it.

Rev Mooon's Role In Ending Communism

Reverend Moon predicted the downfall of communism, publically saying that it could not prosper beyond its 70th year. And indeed, by its 70th year in 1987, it was it was fast disintegrating, although few in the West were aware of that.

Judgement Day: May 21, 2011 or December 21, 2012 or January 13, 2013

Harold Camping of Family Radio believed May 21, 2011 will the be the Judgement Day. The Mayan Calendar predicted that the world will end on December 21, 2012. However, Reverend Sun Myung Moon of Korea says in 2013, a new era of peace will shine.

Rev Moon who Prophesied of an Imminent World of Peace would come Ended World Tour in Las Vegas

Rev Moon Concludes Peace Tour in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - Filled with the vision and belief that Las Vegas will soon gain a new reputation as a “city of giving,” Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon told an international audience of over 3000 today that God himself had great expectations for the long-notorious gaming capital of the world. “This is a time of quiet revolution,” the UPF Founder declared, “a time when the long of sin and suffering will forever end, and a new age of God’s peace will begin.

The gala event, which was the tenth and final leg of an ambitious peace tour to 10 nations in less than a month, also featured prayers for peace from local ministers, entertainment from the Sonic Cult band from New York, and awards to 20 “Ambassadors for Peace,” men and women recognized for their outstanding contributions to local and regional charitable programs.

Rev. Dr. Stephen Thurston, President of the National Baptist Convention, called for commitment in his congratulatory remarks and invocation. “We may have come here to listen to God’s words,” he told the audience, “but we must remember to be not just hearers of the word, but doers as well.”

Strong Old Man
Moon, now 92, shows no sign of slowing down in his campaign for peace. In just the past week, he spoke to an overflow crowd of German families and community leaders at the avant-garde Tempodrom in Berlin; and to an audience of diplomats, political figures and faith leaders at the United Nations Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. In Madrid, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Oslo and London, he called for a new commitment by leaders of all faiths to put aside doctrinal and ritual differences and work together to create what he calls “One Family under God.”

Rev Moon's Prophecies
In 1985, Moon stirred international controversy when he published his prediction of the imminent demise of communism. At the time the Soviet Union was at the peak of its powers, yet the prophecy was indeed fulfilled less than five years later. In recent times, many prominent figures have expressed the hope that Rev. Moon’s prophecies of an imminent world of peace could prove right again, despite the many discouraging signs in the world.

During a program held at the British parliament in London, Lord Tarsem King, the first Sikh peer in Britain’s increasingly diverse upper house, added his support for this interfaith vision of peace.” Dr. Moon has a unique insight of how to influence the world for good,” King said “If this vision of humanity moving beyond all racial and religious boundaries really takes off, our nation and others may avoid many of the difficulties that we are going through now."

That vision of peace is by no means confined to the halls of diplomacy and government, or even the great cathedrals and religious centers of the world. In Las Vegas today, Dr. Moon once again spoke of his ongoing effort to reposition “Sin City” as a “Shining City.” He sees it as a more family friendly tourist destination, a city that can welcome people off all faiths and cultures who will naturally become one family as they enjoy together the world-class entertainment and the outstanding natural beauty of the entire region.

Gaming for a Good Purpose
Seeing such a rebranding as being good for business as well, Rev. Moon has expressed the hope that leaders of the gaming industry will use some of their vast resources to work with him to help Las Vegas gain a new reputation as a city of giving.

By way of example, the morning of the event, over 300 people joined a charity slot tournament at the Aria Resort, with the proceeds from the $500 minimum entry fee benefitting local charities. The Salvation Army, which has seen a marked increase in demand for its services since the recession hit the city, received a check for $50,000. The Galilee Camps, which give some of Las Vegas’s neediest children the chance of a summer camp on the shores of Lake Tahoe, received $10,000. Safe-Faith United, which provides services to battered and abused women and children, received a further $10,000.

Judgement Day: May 21, 2011 (Harold Camping) - December 21, 2012 (Mayan Calendar) - January 13, 2013 (Rev Moon)

Coincidence or Inevitable?
This Saturday (May 21, 2011) is the Day of Judgment according to Harold Camping of Family Radio, where he believed the Rapture will happen and God will completely destroy the Earth and the universe five months later. But coincidently, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon of Korea, honoured as a prophet and peacemaker by millions worldwide, who is optimistic on the future of the planet and particularly keen on the future of Las Vegas will be speaking on the same day at 1 p.m., Saturday May 21, 2011 at the stylish Aria Hotel (the Bristlecone Ballroom) where he will speak on the topic of “Building a World of Universal Peace at a Time of Global Crisis.” The program will include prayers for peace from local ministers and other religious leaders. Music will be provided by Sonic Cult, the Sunday-Service band of Lovin’ Life Ministries in New York, headed by Rev. Moon’s daughter, Rev. In Jin Moon

Interestingly, Harold Camping and his devoted followers also claims a massive earthquake will mark the second coming of Jesus on May 21, 2011. Where as in the Reverend Sun Myung Moon is speaking his peace message on the same day is believed to be the second advent of Christ by many around the world. May 21, 2011 is a very special date.

Era of Peace will Begin - January 13, 2013
Rev. Moon, 92, and Mrs. Moon will arrive in Las Vegas at the end of a world speaking tour that began in Seoul on Easter Sunday and covered eight European capitals including Spain, Italy, Norway, Greece, Turkey, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Germany. The Unification Church founder, who famously predicted in 1985 the fall of the Soviet Union and Communism, has been telling his audiences that January 13, 2013 indeed is a turning point in world history. Unlike end-time preachers who foresee the end of the world on this Saturday, or else in the year 2012 according to the Mayan Calendar, Rev. Moon foresees a coming world of peace and prosperity ushered in gradually by a religious awakening.

Throughout their lives, Rev. and Mrs. Moon have established many international organizations and institutions to promote world peace. They invested unreservedly in many fields including interreligious cooperation, projects to benefit society, intercultural activities, sports, education and the media, and have successfully led these initiatives with the aim of promoting peace and bringing salvation to humanity. The following video shows Rev Moon' tour in Korea, Europe and Las Vegas:

We are living in an historic time
Rev. Moon has warned the world already in his Peace Messages, that God does not want wars anymore. It is our selfishness and greed leading us towards a terrible global war and the nuclear destruction.

"It is a time for a great historic revolution to unite the spiritual and physical worlds and to create the ideal kingdom of heaven that God has longed for. We can no longer postpone of prolong the fulfilment of His wish." - Sun Myung Moon

Saving Las Vegas
As he has explained in numerous speeches, he believes that Las Vegas has a bright future as a world-class tourist destination where visitors and their families can take advantage of spectacular shows and environmental wonders in the region. He is determined to change Las Vegas from Sin City into Shining City.

For weeks, scores of Unificationists have prepared Las Vegas for the weekend by distributing nearly 100,000 copies of the book, As a Peace-loving Global Citizen, Rev. Moon’s bestselling autobiography. (See vimeo video: http://vimeo.com/23157892 Blessing of Glory - Remix" performed by Mai Thurston and Demian Dunkley.) Motorists in Las Vegas have also noticed recent billboards advertising the book.

The Peace King
The book unfolds almost like a mysterious Eastern fan, with a series of vignettes that give us glimpses into different aspects of my father’s life. It traces his humble beginnings as a little boy born in the hills of North Korea and sees him become the man whom we have come to know as Rev Moon and as the peacemaker of this new millennium.

"When I recently read Obama’s biography I found it very boring. However, reading Rev. Moon’s autobiography has been a deep experience: such richness of the heart and life and so many practical details. I could not stop reading till the early hours of the morning." - Dr. Haseeb Jiryes Shehadeh, University of Helsinki, expert in Hebrew and Arabic languages

Regardless of Race & Religion - 70 People Gather to Promote Family Values

UN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES 2011
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - On May 15 2011, more than 70 people regardless of race and religion, gathered early morning at Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the UN International Day of Families.

Themed "Confronting Family Poverty and Social Exclusion," the celebration was organized by Universal Peace Federation of Malaysia with co-organizers Malaysian Interfaith Network, Women for Family Welfare Promotion Selangor & Federal Territory and  Holy Spirit Association of Selangor and Federal Territory for the first time in Malaysia. Activities included treasure hunt, family games and song performances.

The Secretary General of the Universal Peace Federation of Malaysia, Yeoh Koay Seng said the theme of this year's International Day of Families is "Confronting Family Poverty and Social Exclusion", the organizers intended to raise public awareness on the social impact of families, knowledge of economic and demographic processes and regardless of race, gender and religion to enhance family relationships.

He read the International Day of Families speech by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, which said the world has a lot of poor families, parents of these families cannot provide adequate nutrition for their children. He continued saying poverty led hundreds of thousands of women each year to die during childbirth.

Yeoh Koay Seng pointed out that social exclusion is the root cause of family poverty. He said, unfair social services and related discrimination against social groups, deprived poor parents of planning a better future for their children.

Increasingly Serious Problem of Juvenile Delinquency
On the other hand, the President of Universal Peace Federation of Malaysia, Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan said the problem of juvenile crime is increasing and the situation is worrying. She urged parents to spend more time with their children, to inculcate religious values in them, cultivate their discipline and to help solve the problem of juvenile crime.

She also urged the public to interact more with neighbors, enhance relationship between families and when neighbors need help, practice the spirit of mutual aid.

How to Change Negative Emotions to Positive Action

From Emotion To Action
By Reverend Hyung Jin Moon

I'd like to talk to you today about "From Emotion to Action" Many times in our lives, when we are living the blessed life, it's important to allow ourselves, as my wife said in the opening, in her comments, she said, "We have to sometimes give ourselves the permission to be human, give ourselves the permission to be made in God's image."

We have to realize that human beings have very strong emotions. Sometimes we feel anger; sometimes we feel other things in the emotional realm. And it's important to realize that it's OK to have feelings. It's OK to have emotions; even sometimes it's OK to have what we usually think of as negative emotions.

The key to living the blessed life is to make sure that our actions are moving in the right direction. Our emotions can influence our actions, but it's very important that we don't start condemning ourselves for sometimes getting a little upset or having a little less patience than we should have etc.; but we continue to grow, continue to improve our actions as we move along.

People say that there are two types of people that cannot feel strong emotions. The first type of person that cannot feel strong emotions are what they call psychopaths. The second ones are dead people. (Laughter)

So we have to realize that it's very important to learn how to feel emotions. It's important to acknowledge that we can at times have strong emotions.
